About me
I am an evidence-informed public school educator and Curriculum Resource Teacher at Crayton Middle School in Richland School District One (Columbia, SC). My role extends beyond supporting teachers. I challenge assumptions, reframe instructional practices, and create opportunities for professional growth. In 2024, Crayton was recognized as an AMLE National School of Distinction, and we have twice been re-designated as a National School to Watch. I lead ongoing professional learning for over 100 staff members, ensuring that instructional shifts translate into meaningful student outcomes.
As a conference speaker at National Schools to Watch, AMLE, ASCD, and ISTE, I specialize in enhancing educational accessibility and implementing research-based instructional strategies. My contributions to the field have been recognized through honors such as Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Fellow, and Microsoft Certified Coach, as well as being named an SC ASCD Emerging Leader.
Beyond my work at Crayton, I serve as a micro-credential developer and assessor for the University of South Carolina and an evaluator for the Schools to Watch program, ensuring instructional excellence is recognized and refined.
In 2023, I founded Blazers, LLC to expand my impact, offering high-quality coaching and training for educators. Through Blazers, I design and facilitate teacher-driven, evidence-informed professional learning experiences that empower educators to rethink instructional practices and drive student success.
